Please join us at the Catoosa Public Library for the 2023 Summer Reading Program: All Together Now!

There will be activities each week for every age group from 0-18, including preschool storytimes, events for children, and activities for teens. There will also be prizes* for reading during the month of June!

All children who currently hold a Catoosa Public Library card may participate in the program. To obtain a library card, parents or guardians will need to bring a photo ID and a piece of mail verifying their address in Rogers County or zip codes 74108 or 74116 on their first visit.

Registration begins May 30th at the library (105 East Oak, Catoosa).

Event Schedule

Week 1: May 30 – June 3

Sign up for the summer reading program this week and enjoy a fun scavenger hunt around the library. Teen Trivia will be held on Thursday at 3:00pm.


Week 2: June 5-10

Children and families can attend Interactive Storytelling with Skippy Wednesday at 2:00pm or 6:00pm. Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and teens will be painting rocks Thursday at 3:00pm.


Week 3: June 12-16

Stop by the library anytime Wednesday between 1:00pm and 7:00pm to make a sand mandala. Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and teens can attend a hands-on science and technology program by Mad Science Thursday at 3:00pm. The library will be closed Saturday for the Juneteenth holiday.


Week 4: June 20-24

Children and families can attend an interactive drawing program, presented by Rich Davis, Wednesday at 2:00pm. There will also be preschool storytime at 10:00am. Teens can spend an afternoon of slime making Thursday at 3:00pm. The library will be closed Monday, June 19th for Juneteenth holiday.


Week 5: June 26-30

Celebrate all the reading you’ve done already this summer with a snow cone party at Curtis Conley Park on Wednesday at 2:00pm. There will also be preschool storytime at 10:00am. Teens will have a Pizza Party finale on Thursday at 3:00pm.


 

The 2023 Summer Reading Program is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Grant, and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
